Using all the tools

Being able to create whatever the client needs is a great bonus to an artist and designer. I try to keep in touch with the latest design trends and tools just in case something a bit different falls through the commission letterbox.

This design needed a different approach and I decided to use my drawing and painting skills to create an engaging image with text.

The faces are all hand printed onto a black cotton based material which measured 3ft x 4ft. Each individual face was printed separately to build a mass of eyes but in an abstract way. Once the printing was completed and left for a few hours to dry I photographed the material before using Photoshop to create the final designs, tweaking the contrast and detail slightly to add more depth.
