This week I was approached by Curve Theatre in Leicester to supply some artwork to be exhibited alongside a production of Leicester playwright Joe Orton's 'What the butler Saw'.
They wanted something with a political edge which would create a background for the press night at the theatre. Luckily I had the perfect piece sitting in my studio which just needed a few touches before I delivered.
'Green Space' is painted on a solid wood fence panel stolen from a building site in the city. The site takes over and destroys valuable green spaces within the already architecturally crowded city and creating the painting was a small act of protest.
